Privacy notice
Last updated 19 October 2026
Ghana Bar Coach is an independent study companion run by Kwame Brempong in Ghana. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Questions or requests: kobengbrempong@gmail.com.
What we collect when you reserve a seat
- Your name and WhatsApp number.
- Who you are: a Pre-Bar student or an LLB student.
- Your school and the courses you want first.
- Whether you ticked the box to get WhatsApp updates, and when.
- The referral code you arrived with, if any, and how you found us (for example a WhatsApp link).
After you reserve
- The email you'll sign in with, only if you add it. We use it to find your seat when you sign in, so we can give you your early access and credit your referrals.
- Whether you ticked the separate box to get updates by email, when you ticked it, and which version of this notice you saw.
- Two optional questions: what worries you most about the Pre-Bar, and how many hours a week you study. Your answers are only added to totals. We record that you answered, so you are counted once, but never what you answered.
Your Seat card is made on your own phone from your seat number. We never receive it.
Lawyers, parents and sponsors
If you use the short form, we collect your name, your WhatsApp number and what you would like to help with. We use them only to contact you about that. You do not get a seat number and are not counted as a student.
We do not ask for anything else, and we never ask for payment details on this page.
What anyone can see
- Your referral link shows how many people reserved through it: a number, never who.
- The Campus Race board shows how many Pre-Bar students reserved at each school, and only once a school has at least 10. Never names.
- How many people have reserved in total.
Visit counts
To see how many people visit and reserve, the site records anonymous events (a visit, starting the form, tapping share, saving a calendar reminder) against a random number that lives only in your browser tab. We do not use cookies or any third-party tracker, and these counts are not linked to your name. They are deleted after 90 days.
To stop abuse, the server briefly uses your internet (IP) address to limit how many times a connection can submit a form. That record is deleted automatically within about two hours.
If you tap “Add to Google Calendar”, Google receives our event (its date and our link), not anything about you.
Why we use it
- To hold your seat and give you your seat number and referral link.
- To tell you when doors open and give you early access.
- To count referrals, so people who bring friends are credited.
- To send you WhatsApp updates and free practice questions, only if you ticked the box. You can stop them any time by replying STOP or emailing us.
- To send you email updates, only if you ticked that box. You can stop them any time by replying to any of them or emailing us.
- To publish totals about Ghana's first Pre-Bar class, never names.
We never sell your data, and we don't share it with your school, the GLC or anyone else.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services in London, United Kingdom, protected by access controls and encryption. Only Kwame Brempong can see reservation details. When we add payments, Paystack will process them. Some later features use AI services that may process data outside Ghana and the UK; we will update this notice before any of them use your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your reservation, or your short-form details, until 12 months after Pack 1 is released, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Withdraw your consent to WhatsApp or email updates at any time.
- Complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Email kobengbrempong@gmail.com from the email or WhatsApp number you used and we will act within 30 days.
Changes
If this notice changes, we will update the date above and tell you before any new use of your data.
